Ingredients
Scale:
- 250 grams (about 9 ounces) Halloumi cheese, sliced into ½-inch thick pieces
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil (extra virgin recommended)
- A handful of Fresh herbs (optional), chopped (parsley or mint)
Instructions
- Remove the halloumi from its packaging and rinse it under cold water to reduce saltiness. Pat it dry with a paper towel.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or frying pan over medium heat and add the olive oil. Allow the oil to heat until it shimmers.
- Carefully place the halloumi slices in the pan, cooking for 2-3 minutes on one side until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Remove the halloumi and place it on a plate lined with paper towels. Sprinkle with fresh herbs before serving.
