A quick and satisfying meal combining flaky crescent dough with flavorful ground beef and gooey cheese, perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 pound ground beef
1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar or Monterey Jack)
1 packet taco seasoning
Instructions
Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Brown the ground beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Add seasoning: Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the browned beef and stir well, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Prepare the crescent dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface and pinch the seams together to form a single sheet.
Fill the dough: Spread half of the beef mixture across the center of the dough, topping with half of the shredded cheese.
Roll it up: Carefully roll the crescent dough over the filling, tucking it tightly and pinching the ends to seal.
Slice and bake: Place the rolled dough seam-side down on a greased baking sheet. Slice into 1-inch pieces, sprinkle remaining cheese on top, and bake for 15-20 minutes.
Cool and serve: Let the squares cool for a few minutes before serving.
