Imagine a dish that combines the comforting flavors of chicken, ham, and cheese, all enveloped in warm, flaky crescent rolls. This is the essence of the 4-Ingredient Chicken Cordon Bleu Crescent Braid. Perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings, this recipe simplifies the classic Chicken Cordon Bleu into a delightful braid that is both easy to prepare and impressive to serve.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 cans of crescent rolls (8 oz each)
2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or diced)
1 cup sliced ham (deli-style works best)
1 cup shredded cheese (Swiss or cheddar)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, sliced ham, and shredded cheese. Mix until well combined.
Spoon the chicken mixture down the center of the crescent roll triangles, spreading it evenly.
Starting from the outer edges, fold the triangle points over the filling, alternating sides to create a braid effect.
Brush the top of the braid with a little melted butter (optional).
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
