Ingredients
Scale:
1 ½ pounds ground beef (80/20 blend)
1 cup plain breadcrumbs
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 egg
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
1 cup beef broth
1 large onion, sliced
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon soy sauce
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
Divide the beef mixture into equal portions and shape them into patties, about ¾ inch thick.
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
In the same skillet, remove excess grease, leaving about a tablespoon. Add sliced onions and sauté until soft and translucent, about 4-5 minutes. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and soy sauce. Mix well and simmer until heated through.
In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, place the browned patties in a single layer and pour the onion gravy mixture evenly over the patties.
