A delightful no-bake chocolate dessert featuring a rich chocolate biscuit base melded with creamy condensed milk, often finished with a sprinkle of coconut.
Ingredients
Scale:
250g plain biscuits (like Arnott’s Marie or Digestive biscuits)
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 cup desiccated coconut
1 can (395g) sweetened condensed milk
125g unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup chocolate chips or melted chocolate for drizzling (optional)
Additional desiccated coconut for sprinkling (optional)
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, crush the plain biscuits into fine crumbs.
Add cocoa powder and desiccated coconut to the crushed biscuits and mix thoroughly.
Melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat, then remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
Pour the sweetened condensed milk and melted butter into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
Line a baking pan with baking paper, transfer the mixture into the pan, and press it down firmly and evenly.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours until set and firm.
If using chocolate chips, melt them and drizzle over the chilled slice.
Remove from the pan, cut into squares, and serve with additional desiccated coconut sprinkled on top.
