BBQ glazed meatloaf is a delightful twist on a classic American comfort food that brings the smoky, sweet, and tangy flavors of barbecue straight to your dinner table.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 ½ pounds ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dried thyme
½ cup milk
1 cup homemade BBQ sauce (or store-bought)
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, salt, pepper, thyme, and milk. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
Transfer the meat mixture into a loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf. Smooth the top with a spatula.
In a separate bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and smoked paprika. Reserve about ¼ cup of the glaze for later use.
Spread the remaining BBQ glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Serve slices drizzled with the reserved BBQ glaze.
