Imagine the iconic flavors of a Big Mac, but in a fresh and vibrant salad form. This satisfying dish combines ground beef, crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and a delicious special sauce dressing, reminiscent of your favorite fast-food burger but with a healthier twist.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
1 head of romaine lettuce, chopped
2 medium tomatoes, diced
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup pickles, sliced
1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon finely chopped dill pickles
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a large skillet, heat over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 7-10 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
While the beef is cooking, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, white vinegar, sugar, dill pickles, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Whisk until smooth and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, add the chopped romaine lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, sliced pickles, and red onion. Toss gently to combine.
Once the ground beef is cooked, let it cool slightly. Then, add it to the bowl of vegetables. Pour the special sauce dressing over the salad and gently toss until everything is coated evenly.
Divide the salad among plates or bowls. Optionally, garnish with extra cheese or pickles. Enjoy immediately.
