A simple and comforting dish that combines the rich, savory flavors of butter with the soft texture of noodles. Perfect as a side dish or a main meal, buttery noodles offer a taste experience that is both nostalgic and innovative.
Ingredients
Scale:
8 oz egg noodles
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon minced garlic (optional)
1/2 teaspoon dried basil (optional)
Instructions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to the package instructions, typically 5-7 minutes, until they are al dente. Drain them well.
In the same pot, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. If you are making garlic butter noodles, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously, until the mixture is well combined and creamy.
Return the cooked noodles to the pot, tossing them gently to coat with the sauce. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Remove from heat and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley for added flavor and visual appeal.
Serve immediately while the dish is hot and the flavors are at their peak.
