A comforting and satisfying dish that transforms traditional cheeseburgers into a hearty, one-dish meal.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon homemade burger seasoning
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or American)
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
1/4 teaspoon salt
4-5 tablespoons ice water
Additional shredded cheese for topping
Sliced pickles (optional)
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Add the cold, cubed butter and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add ice water until the dough comes together. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic until the beef is browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Stir in the homemade burger seasoning, ketchup, and mustard. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and fold in the shredded cheese.
Roll out the chilled pie crust and transfer it to a 9-inch pie pan. Pour the beef and cheese mixture into the crust.
Sprinkle additional shredded cheese on top and bake for 25-30 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
Allow the pie to cool slightly, then top with sliced pickles and parsley before serving.
