This Chicken Cordon Bleu Biscuit Bake is a delightful twist on the classic French-inspired dish that combines tender chicken, savory ham, and creamy cheese all enveloped in a fluffy biscuit crust.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
1 cup ham, diced
1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
1/2 cup cream of chicken soup
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
3/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, diced ham, shredded Swiss cheese, cream of chicken soup, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Spread the chicken filling mixture evenly in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the cold, cubed butter and cut it into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add the milk, mixing until just combined.
Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit dough over the chicken filling.
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuit topping is golden brown and cooked through.
