A quick and delicious dinner option that’s packed with flavor, featuring a blend of savory ground beef and fresh cabbage in a savory sauce.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 lb ground beef
4 cups cabbage, thinly sliced
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 inch ginger, grated
1 tablespoon vegetable oil (or sesame oil for extra flavor)
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Chopped green onions (for garnish, optional)
Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
In a small bowl, mix together all the ingredients for the sauce: soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and black pepper. Set aside.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the ground beef. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently until browned and cooked through.
Add the sliced onion to the pan and continue to cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.
Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the sliced cabbage to the pan, tossing everything together. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until the cabbage is tender but still crisp.
Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and cabbage mixture. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Remove from heat and serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
