Tender pork chops simmered to perfection in a black slow cooker, infused with rich flavors and served with a savory sauce.
Ingredients
Scale:
4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 cup chicken broth
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (for thickening the gravy, optional)
Instructions
Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Optionally, sear in a skillet over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
Rub the spice mixture all over the pork chops for even coverage.
In the bottom of the slow cooker, combine chicken broth, soy sauce, honey or brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well.
Arrange the seasoned pork chops in the slow cooker, ensuring they are submerged in the sauce as much as possible.
Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 6-8 hours.
Optional: About 30 minutes before serving, mix cornstarch with water and stir into the slow cooker to thicken the gravy.
Once cooked, carefully remove the pork chops from the slow cooker. Drizzle some of the gravy over the top before serving and garnish with chopped parsley.
