  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) and prepare a 9-inch round cake pan by greasing it and lining the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is well incorporated before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the orange juice, starting and ending with the flour.
  6. Gently fold in the raisins, currants, dried apricots, and walnuts.
