Ingredients
Scale:
2 pounds ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup milk
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and thyme. Mix thoroughly using your hands or a spoon until all ingredients are well incorporated.
Transfer the meat mixture into a loaf pan or shape it into a free-form loaf on a lined baking sheet.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar until smooth.
Spread half of the glaze over the top of the meatloaf, reserving the rest for later.
Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
About 10 minutes before the meatloaf is finished baking, remove it from the oven and brush the remaining glaze on top.
Once cooked, take the meatloaf out of the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
Cut the meatloaf into thick slices and serve immediately.
