- 1 ½ pounds ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup milk
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, thyme, and paprika. Mix gently.
- Transfer the mixture to a lined or greased loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
- In a small bowl, mix together ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Spread half over the meatloaf.
- Bake for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- In the last 10 minutes of baking, apply the remaining glaze over the meatloaf.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Slice and serve with your choice of sides.
