This beloved recipe has been passed down through generations, embodying the essence of home-cooked meals filled with love and flavor. It's a versatile, easy chicken marinade that infuses your chicken with mouthwatering taste, whether you're grilling, baking, or sautéing.
Ingredients
Scale:
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
Instructions
In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, and honey until well combined.
Stir in the minced garlic, chopped rosemary, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly to integrate all flavors.
Place the chicken in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are well coated.
If using a bag, remove excess air and seal tightly. If using a dish, cover it with plastic wrap. Allow the chicken to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 8 hours for maximum flavor.
After marinating, take the chicken out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes before cooking.
Grill the chicken on medium-high heat for about 6-7 minutes per side, or bake it at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Once cooked, let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
