Pinwheel sandwiches are a delightful addition to any gathering, providing a burst of flavor wrapped up in a neat and visually appealing package. These versatile and easy-to-make treats are perfect for lunchboxes, picnics, or as a crowd-pleasing appetizer at parties.
Ingredients
Scale:
4 large flour tortillas
8 oz cream cheese, softened
8 oz sliced deli meat (turkey, ham, or chicken)
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella work well)
1 cup fresh spinach leaves
1/2 cup roasted red peppers, sliced
1/4 cup black olives, sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Fresh herbs, such as basil or parsley, for garnish
Instructions
Start by laying a tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread an even layer of softened cream cheese over the entire tortilla, making sure to reach the edges.
Layer the deli meat of your choice evenly over the cream cheese.
Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheese on top of the deli meat.
Add a layer of fresh spinach leaves followed by the roasted red peppers and sliced black olives.
Season the filling with a pinch of salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Carefully roll the tortilla tightly, starting from one edge and rolling towards the opposite side.
Once rolled, wrap the tortilla in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
After chilling, remove the plastic wrap and slice the roll into 1-inch thick pinwheels. Arrange them on a serving platter and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
