This dish brings together tender chicken, savory stuffing, and a deliciously creamy sauce, all cooked to perfection in your slow cooker.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup (or cream of mushroom for a twist)
1 cup chicken broth
1 package (6 oz) stuffing mix (herb-flavored works best)
Instructions
Start by placing the boneless, skinless chicken breasts at the bottom of your slow cooker.
In a separate bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup and chicken broth until well combined. Pour this mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
Open the package of stuffing mix and sprinkle it over the top of the chicken and soup mixture. Do not stir; just allow the stuffing to rest on top.
Cover the slow cooker with its lid and set it to low heat. Let it cook for 6 to 7 hours, or until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
Once cooked, gently stir the stuffing and chicken together, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully.
