Ingredients
Scale:
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
2 tablespoons olive oil
Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Additional brown sugar for a sweeter finish (optional)
Instructions
Take the pork chops out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking to bring them to room temperature.
In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Rub the spice mixture all over the pork chops, ensuring they are well coated.
In a skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil. Sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar until well combined.
Place the seared pork chops in the slow cooker. Pour the brown sugar glaze over the top.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
Once cooked, carefully remove the pork chops from the slow cooker. Drizzle some of the remaining glaze over the top and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
