Ingredients
Scale:
1 cup of arborio rice (or any short-grain rice, such as sushi rice or jasmine rice)
1/2 cup of granulated sugar (adjust based on sweetness preference or substitute with honey or maple syrup)
4 cups of whole milk (or alternative milk for a dairy-free option)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Cinnamon for sprinkling (optional)
Raisins or your favorite dried fruit (optional)
Fresh berries or nuts for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Slow Cooker: Lightly grease the inside of the slow cooker with butter or cooking spray.
Combine Ingredients: In the slow cooker, combine the arborio rice and granulated sugar, mixing thoroughly.
Add Milk and Vanilla: Pour in the 4 cups of whole milk and the teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir well.
Cook on High: Cover the slow cooker and cook on high for about 2.5 to 3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
Check Consistency: After about 2.5 hours, check the pudding for doneness. If it's too thick, add a little more milk.
Serve Warm: Once cooked, serve warm with toppings like cinnamon, raisins, or fresh berries.
