24 square or round crackers (such as Ritz or Club crackers)
12 slices of bacon, cut in half
1 cup packed brown sugar (dark brown sugar recommended)
¼ teaspoon black pepper (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the crackers on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
Take a half slice of bacon and wrap it around each cracker. If adding black pepper, sprinkle a pinch on each wrapped cracker.
Generously sprinkle the packed brown sugar over each bacon-wrapped cracker.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the brown sugar has melted and bubbled.
Once baked, remove the crackers from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet. Serve warm or at room temperature.
