Ingredients
Scale:
1 cup almond flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 cup whole milk
1/4 cup sliced almonds
Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together almond flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a large mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar and melted butter, whisking until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, making sure each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Stir in the almond extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, smoothing the top with a spatula. Sprinkle sliced almonds evenly over the surface.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
