Ingredients
Scale:
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup salsa
1 packet taco seasoning
12 taco shells
Cooking spray or olive oil for greasing
Shredded lettuce
Diced tomatoes
Chopped cilantro
Guacamole (optional)
Sour cream (optional)
Extra cheese (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, salsa, and taco seasoning. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
Lightly grease a baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil. Carefully spoon the cream cheese chicken mixture into each taco shell, filling them generously but not overflowing.
Arrange the filled taco shells upright in the greased baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the taco shells are golden brown.
While the tacos are baking, chop the lettuce, dice the tomatoes, and prepare any additional toppings you want to include.
Once done, remove the tacos from the oven and let them sit for a few minutes. Serve hot and invite everyone to top their tacos with the desired toppings.
