Chocolate Chip Pan Chewies are a delightful twist on the classic chocolate chip cookie, bringing the best of both worlds to your dessert table. These chewy chocolate chip bars are baked in a single pan, making them not only simple to prepare but also a crowd-pleaser at any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set this mixture aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding them together until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Once baked, remove the pan from the oven and allow the bars to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
