- 1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Hershey's chocolate syrup
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts or candies (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and Hershey's chocolate syrup until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
- If using, fold in chocolate chips or nuts.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
