  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, spices, and salt until evenly combined.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Beat in the honey, egg, and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
