Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the elbow macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente (about 6-8 minutes). Drain and set aside.
Mix the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, zesty marinara sauce, and ricotta cheese. Mix until the pasta is well-coated.
Layer the Ingredients: Transfer half of the macaroni mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the first layer. Add the remaining macaroni mixture and top with the rest of the mozzarella cheese.
