A hassle-free recipe that delivers an explosion of flavor with minimal effort, combining the rich, savory taste of pork ribs with the sweetness of brown sugar.
Ingredients
Scale:
4 pounds pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs work well)
1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
1 cup barbecue sauce (choose your favorite)
1 tablespoon garlic powder
Instructions
Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
Rub the garlic powder evenly over both sides of the ribs.
In a bowl, combine the brown sugar and barbecue sauce, stirring until dissolved.
Brush the sauce mixture generously over the ribs, marinating if desired.
Place the ribs in your slow cooker, pouring any remaining sauce over the top.
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours until tender.
Remove the ribs from the slow cooker and let them rest for a few minutes.
