Ingredients
Scale:
1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (optional)
8 ounces egg noodles
6 cups beef broth
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon garlic soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon chili oil (optional)
1 cup sliced bell peppers (red and yellow)
1 cup broccoli florets
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
2 green onions, chopped
Sesame seeds
Fresh cilantro leaves (optional)
Instructions
Combine the thinly sliced beef with soy sauce and cornstarch in a large bowl. Mix well and let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Bring beef broth to a boil in a large pot. Add egg noodles and cook until al dente, about 7 minutes. Drain and set aside, reserving 1 cup of the broth.
Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated beef in a single layer and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add bell peppers and broccoli, stir-frying for 5 minutes until tender-crisp.
Return beef to the skillet. Add oyster sauce, garlic soy sauce, and reserved beef broth. Stir to combine and let simmer for a few minutes.
Fold in cooked egg noodles and cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
