4 to 5 pounds boneless pork butt
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup homemade barbecue sauce (or store-bought)

Instructions
Trim excess fat from the pork butt, leaving some for moisture.
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
Rub the seasoning mixture all over the pork butt and let it sit for 30 minutes or refrigerate overnight.
Place the seasoned pork butt in the slow cooker. Pour in the chicken broth and apple cider vinegar.
Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours, or on high for 4 to 6 hours, until the pork is easily shredded.
Remove the pork from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes. Shred the meat using two forks.
Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker, stir in the barbecue sauce, and cook on low for an additional 30 minutes.
