Description
A delightful and simple dessert using frozen bread dough, perfect for busy families and baking novices.
Ingredients
Scale:
- 1 loaf of frozen bread dough (thawed according to package instructions)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans, optional)
- 1/2 cup raisins or chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Once the bread dough is thawed, place it on a lightly floured surface. Roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon together. Spread the melted butter over the rolled-out dough.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the buttered dough. Add chopped nuts and raisins or chocolate chips if desired.
- Starting from one end, roll the dough into a log shape and pinch the seams to seal.
- Cut the rolled dough into slices about 1 inch wide. Place them on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- While the rolls are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl to prepare the glaze.
- Once baked, remove the rolls from the oven and allow them to cool slightly before drizzling the glaze over the top.
- Serve warm and enjoy with your loved ones.
